SPECTRAFORCE Arrives in Costa Rica to Develop Tech Services for Top Leading Companies

  • The company will hire 50 within next 12 months.
San José, Costa Rica. January 17, 2022. SPECTRAFORCE, one of the fastest-growing global staffing companies, launched operations in Costa Rica. It currently serves more than 120 clients globally within the Technology, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Insurance, and Banking and Financial Service industries.

In Costa Rica, the company will provide staffing services to mid and large-size global organizations. SPECTRAFORCE decided to pursue Costa Rica after several of its Fortune 500 clients approached to support its staffing and statement of work needs in Costa Rica.

“With the global nature of our business, we have been supporting clients across multiple geographies and are always looking for additional countries where we can expand. Costa Rica will be a critical and strategic part of our growth, as we look to extend our value proposition and services to our clients on a multi-national and integrated scale,” commented Martha Derbyshire, Executive Vice President of SPECTRAFORCE.

In the future, the company plans to leverage its Costa Rican recruiting operations to service North America and other global regions. SPECTRAFORCE plans to hire 50 employees in the next 12 months in Costa Rica, and currently has hired 4 members for its team.

The Minister of Foreign Trade, Andrés Valenciano, stated: “The recent investment in SPECTRAFORCE spotlights the favorable platform that we offer to service companies as well as the commitment that we have to continue to push formal employment opportunities for all Costa Rican citizens. Future SPECTRAFORCE employees will have the chance to develop in spheres related to recruiting, services, and information technology within a rapidly growing market that represents a huge thrust into various regions of the world. We trust that those regions will find, in the Costa Rican citizens, the human talent needed to be able to provide support to their clients on a global scale and that only marks the beginning of a long history in the country.”

Jorge Sequeira, the Managing Director of CINDE, acknowledged the decision that the company made to invest in Costa Rica and mentioned that “projects such as this demonstrate the interest that the company generates in making investments that bear a high added value. The knowledge-based services sector has undergone huge growth in the country. According to recent export data, in the first 9 months of 2021, exports generated US$4.694 million for a growth rate of 8.5% in relation to the same period for 2020. Over the last several years, this sector has represented more than 70% of the total service exports from the country.”

SPECTRAFORCE will be hiring mid and senior-level management candidates with strong sales and professional services backgrounds to oversee client engagement. It is also in the process of building out their delivery team in Costa Rica, which will include IT-focused recruiters.

Along with seasoned recruiters, the company will hire college graduates with IT skills and train them. “A lot of our hiring will be primarily client-focused, with most positions in the technology field, including new and emerging fields such as cloud, mobile, and embedded technologies,” added Martha.
