San Jose, Costa Rica, October 24th, 2016 – Pfizer Inc. inaugurated its new facilities for the Global Finance Shared Services Center, which endorses its process of growth and expansion in Costa Rica.
As part of that growing process, the Finance Services Center, located in Avenida Escazu, currently employs about 194 people to support the Latina American, United States, Canadian and European markets.

In the last years, Costa Rica has positioned itself as a strong leader in the continent for the establishment of numerous and sophisticated projects in the services sector. For Alexander Mora, Minister of Foreign Trade, the growing success of the country in this sector has been reinforced by the quality of the national professional and technical talent, the consistency of public policies in education and business climate, the overall stability and the strategic location of the country. “This conditions are valuable for both attracting projects from companies that invest for the first time, and also to withstand the expansion of companies that reinvest in Costa Rica, as in Pfizer´s case, which has decided to grow its activities in the country, thanks to the positive results achieved so far. I have reiterated to Pfizer the strong and active commitment with the Administration to continue to manage the elements of the value proposition of Costa Rica in the services sector, "concluded the Minister.

"The availability of professional talent, coupled with the excellent business climate we have experienced in Costa Rica since the site opened three years ago, have given us the confidence to expand our operations here," said Guillermo Azuero, Regional President of Pfizer´s Essential Health for Latin America. "We expect continued success of the business in Costa Rica" Azuero added.
