Experian Strengthens National Footprint with 250 New Jobs in Costa Rica

  • CINDE was instrumental in the British company’s selection of Costa Rica; today, Experian employs professionals in the areas of customer service, finance, product development, and information technology.
  • After more than 15 years in the country, the company is positioned as one of the five best places to work, according to the Great Place to Work® Caribbean & Central America ranking.
San José, Costa Rica. June 22, 2023. Experian, a world leader in information, analysis, and marketing services to manage commercial and financial decisions, has strengthened its presence in Costa Rica by announcing at least 250 new employment positions to be hired during the remainder of 2023. These new hires will join the company’s more than 1,600 current employees at its Global Operations Center, whose service markets include the United States and the United Kingdom.

Experian chose Costa Rica for its national stability, as well as the quality and availability of Costa Rican talent. For Experian, Costa Rica remains a priority destination for developing and supporting its global strategy, allowing for incorporating new business units and increasing personnel for the teams that are already established in the country.

“Costa Rica continues to prove itself a key player in Experian's success. In Costa Rican professionals, we have found the skills and ambition necessary to keep our [Global Operations Center] constantly growing since 2008. During the company's years of experience in the country, Experian has identified a robust cradle of talent with outstanding technical skills and a level of command of the English language capable of supporting fully bilingual operations,” explained Minor Monge, General Manager of Experian Costa Rica.

Thanks to CINDE's efforts in attracting non-traditional markets, this British company now celebrates 15 years of operations and growth in Costa Rica. Globally, Experian advises companies on credit risk management, identity fraud and financial crime prevention, marketing solutions, decision automation, and business process outsourcing (BPO).

“The company’s growth is an example of how companies can achieve sustainable productivity and drive purposeful foreign investment. From Costa Rica, Experian provides support to 13 business units, which include data analysis, customer service, marketing, financial planning, and information technology, among many others, to demanding markets including North America and the UK. In addition, for CINDE, it is a source of pride that Experian is one of the 25 multinationals committed to Sustainable Development Goals on national soil, according to a study carried out by our organization,” explained Marianela Urgellés, General Director of CINDE.

Among the Top 5 Companies to Work for in Costa Rica

According to Great Place to Work®, Experian has been recognized as one of the five best places to work in Costa Rica. The accolade comes thanks to the company’s commitment to an inclusive culture, a balanced work environment, employee development, and flexible policies for hybrid work.

This international ranking is the result of a certification process that conducts confidential surveys to assess trust, innovation, organizational values, and business management.

Experian is currently in the process of hiring approximately 250 new bilingual professionals with intermediate or advanced English levels, in areas such as customer service, sales, product development, finance, accounting, data analysis, information technology, and system engineering. Company employees receive benefits such as performance bonuses, health and life insurance, an employee assistance plan, an educational reimbursement program, an employee association, extra vacation days, personal enjoyment days, volunteer programs, and professional development programs, among others.
