COMEX and CINDE participate in meetings with Mexican entrepreneurs and investors


The Minister of Foreign Trade, Alexander Mora and the Managing Director of CINDE, Jorge Sequeira carry an agenda of bilateral meetings with Mexican companies with operations in the country or investment potential.

Meetings take place this Tuesday December 9th and will join the investment promotion agenda led by the President of the Republic, Luis Guillermo Solis to arrive Wednesday morning from Veracruz to Mexico City.


Mexico, December 9, 2014. The Minister of Foreign Trade, Alexander Mora and Jorge Sequeira, Managing Director of the Costa Rican Investment Promotion Agency (CINDE), carried today an agenda of six bilateral meetings with Mexican entrepreneurs and potential investors in order to show our country as a strategic destination for investment projects. Companies convened belong to the services, aerospace, telecommunications and energy sectors.

According to the Minister of Foreign Trade, Alexander Mora, "we must continue to further strengthen Mexican investment, attracting both new companies that can assess the country as a base for their operations, as well as leading companies already established in Costa Rica in diverse sectors. Similarly, continue promoting exports of goods and services from Costa Rica to the Mexican market. we are committed to achieving these goals that result in the generation of more quality jobs for the Costa Rican people."

For its part, the Managing Director of CINDE, Jorge Sequeira said that "the meetings held allow the identification of potential and interesting opportunities to increase the presence of Mexican companies in Costa Rica. Undoubtedly Mexico is a market of great potential in which CINDE has been working and wants to continue doing it. "

On Wednesday, the investment promotion activities will continue with the participation of the President of the Republic, Luis Guillermo Solis, who is participating in the Ibero-American Summit in Veracruz and will arrive in the early morning to the Federal District.
