Tebra announces opening of new Costa Rica Office

  • The company formerly known as Kareo, expands operations and hiring of local workforce to reflect continued growth.
San José, Costa Rica. February 13, 2023. Tebra, a leader in practice growth technology and cloud-based clinical and financial software, today announced the opening of its new office in Costa Rica. Staff in Costa Rica will continue to support Tebra’s technology, customer success, product, and marketing divisions.

In 2021, Kareo, a fast-growing cloud-based clinical and financial software, joined forces with PatientPop, a leader in practice growth technology, to form Tebra and combine the technologies from both companies. Since this merge, Tebra provides a complete solution to help over 100,000 doctors deliver modernized care to more than 90 million patients in the United States.

“We’re thrilled to see our presence in Costa Rica continue to grow, as it’s been a vital part of Kareo’s success. We’re looking forward to keeping up that momentum now that we are Tebra”, declared Dan Rodrigues, Co-founder and CEO of Tebra. He added: “with this newest office in Costa Rica, we will be able to expand hiring there with more opportunities for local workers while simultaneously offering even greater support for our customers.”

Manuel Tovar, the minister of foreign trade, indicated: “Costa Rica is home to more than 70 multinational companies focused on health care through technology; we are an ideal location for life sciences and the service sector. That is why today we celebrate the decision of Tebra, a leading company in the sector, to expand its operations. The company’s new headquarters will generate quality employment in marketing, product development, and customer service. We urge Costa Ricans to take advantage of the new job positions”.

“Kareo began its operations in the country in 2014 and now has more than 280 employees. As Tebra, the company continues to entrust Costa Rica to build centers of excellence with a highly talented team to support independent practices across a variety of specialties and medical billing companies across the U.S.”, added Jorge Sequeira, managing director of CINDE.

With the newly remodeled office in the America Free Zone (AFZ), an area located strategically between the Juan Santamaría International Airport and San Jose, Tebra plans to open positions in product development, technical support, website design, technology, customer support, customer onboarding, customer education, finance, professional services, and more.

Employee benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, a monthly work-from-home subsidy, employee recharge days, mentorship program, a childcare subsidy, extended vacation and personal days, and a monthly wellness stipend.
