The Minister of Foreign Trade, Manuel Tovar, expressed his pleasure at the news, “In 2021, our services sector represented 38% of GDP for the country's total exports, banking on digital and innovative transformations. The announcement that Globant has arrived in the country demonstrates the dynamism of Costa Rica’s economy, in the case of the company's first operation in Central America and the Caribbean. We continue pushing the country towards a knowledge-based services economy, where 200 Costa Ricans will now have an opportunity to be part of a company that originates in Argentina, which is very relevant in terms of diversifying origins for direct foreign investment.”
The company’s Costa Rican operations have 75 employees and adds to the more than 60 offices that Globant operates throughout the world and which employ more than 24,000 professionals. With this new and innovative space, Globant reinforces its presence and strengthens its position in promoting digital talent in Latin America.
