San José, Costa Rica. February 10th, 2020. Johnson Controls, a leading company in diversified and multi-industrial global technology, is expanding in Costa Rica and plans to hire 150 collaborators to create intelligent buildings, efficient energy solutions, and integrated infrastructure.

Johnson Controls serves clients in more than 150 countries. Currently, it has 350 employees in Costa Rica of a global payroll of 120,000.

Johnson Control’s Business Development Manager, Peter Fischel, explained: “The Costa Rican operations have been of the highest value to Johnson Controls. We want to keep investing in the country’s human talent. We’ve been in Costa Rica over the last 15 years due to the country’s development, human talent, and great opportunities for ongoing Foreign Direct Investment.”

The company invested US$4 million to expand its operations in 5,000m², in the Forum 1 Business Park, buildings J and K.

The Minister of Foreign Trade, Dyalá Jiménez, said: “Johnson Control’s announcement demonstrates that reinvestments are a power source of development and wellbeing. The country’s stability, human talent, and legal security are essential pieces of our value proposition. Last year, Costa Rica attracted 44 investment projects: 19 new investments and 25 reinvestments. We thank Johnson Controls' trust in Costa Rica.”
