World Wide Technology Expands to Costa Rica Market Amid Continued Growth

San José, Costa Rica, April 3, 2024. World Wide Technology (WWT), a global technology solutions provider with $20 billion in annual revenue, today announced plans to create 100 new IT and corporate jobs in Costa Rica as part of continued company growth. The Costa Rica office, located in Belén, opened in June 2023 and is WWT’s third location in the LATAM region.

The investment arrives as the technology giant experienced 48 percent year-over-year growth for its strategic AI, cybersecurity and digital transformation services and solutions. WWT has also been expanding its global workforce by several hundred new employees a year. The Costa Rica job openings – ranging from entry-level to senior leadership – seek to support various capacities, including finance, legal, human resources, internal IT, project management, sales, services, marketing and global operations in complement with existing functions across WWT’s global footprint.

“The acceleration of enterprise AI adoption, paired with greater cybersecurity threats, continues to fuel global demand for transformative technology solutions that lead to game-changing business outcomes,”
said Tom Strunk, Costa Rica sponsor and chief financial officer of WWT. “It’s an exciting time to be part of WWT, and our team is thrilled to add Costa Rican talent to the work we do for our customers.”

In recent years, Costa Rica has become an international tech hub for organizations across the globe as more than 400 multinational organizations are now operating in the country, according to the country’s CINDE foreign investment promotional agency. Furthermore, Costa Rica serves as a hub for 228 service sector companies, with digital technologies experiencing significant growth. To meet the growing demand for talent, Costa Rica has put a focus on developing a highly skilled workforce and on achieving a nearly 98% literacy rate among Costa Ricans.

To kick off this regional hiring effort, WWT will be participating in the CINDE Job Fair – the country's largest and most specialized multilingual job fair held on April 5-7. This event helps connect Costa Ricans with leading companies in Costa Rica, discover their language level and ideal job, grow professionally with dynamic conversations and speakers and more.

With over 10,000 employees and more than 55 locations around the world, WWT strives to be a high- performance culture that’s a great place to work for all employees.
