January 26th, 2016, San José Today, Uber announced the creation in Costa Rica of its first Center of Excellence in Latin America. The center will generate more than 300 jobs by the end of the year. To include San Jose in its growing network of customer service centers, Uber will also invest USD $3.5 million this year.

Uber is looking to recruit immediately the first group of 25 customer service specialists, which will allow the center to begin operations in the coming weeks. The company will continue hiring
