San José, May 24, 2017. Smile Direct Club, an American company specialized in orthodontic services, has announced an aggressive recruitment plan for this 2017 in which it plans to add 400 more people to its current operation of 160 people in the country.
The company serves as an orthodontic products distribution and services platform for clients in the United States. Currently, the company serves for areas out of Costa Rica: Customer Service, Back Office, Data Entry and Specialists in Digital Orthodontics.
Alexander Mora, Foreign Trade Minister said: "From the Central Government we are very happy to know that Smile Direct is betting on Costa Rica, with plans as ambitious as tripling its current payroll of 160 workers, in terms of one year. In addition, thanks to companies like this, we have been able to position ourselves globally as leaders in the services sector and increase our presence in the main value chains, with highly sophisticated contributions. Therefore, we will continue working to strengthen our investment conditions, in order to remain competitive and continue to be home to many more global companies, such as Smile Direct. "
Pablo Rojas, Managing Director of Smile Direct Costa Rica, explained "our customer service department works in 4 different channels of communication, chat, email, text messages and calls, for this group we occupy people with a high level of Oral and written English, with some level of experience in customer service preferably. Our Back Office and Data Entry group requires personnel who have worked doing data processing and desirably staff who have worked in the processing of medical insurance for the North American market and finally for our Department of Digital Orthodontics we need either dentists, dental technicians or people who have already worked in digital orthodontic systems. The company has found excellent employees in all the profiles ".
