CINDE received "Silver Level Route to Excellence" award for its institutional performance

San Jose, November 30th, 2017. The Costa Rican Investment Promotion Agency (CINDE) received the "Silver Level Route to Excellence" award, after successfully completing an evaluation process of performance indicators, audited by a representative of the Costa Rican Chamber of Industries (CICR).

CICR´s Excellence Program allows to identify and recognize the most outstanding organizations in several management fields that are promoted within the excellence model. This initiative also promotes the continuous improvement of the all participating organizations through knowledge exchange.

In twenty years of implementation of the Excellence Program, since 1997, more than 600 evaluations and accompaniments have been carried out with the organizations that have participated through the different editions.

This participation includes small, medium and large organizations (public and private), which have achieved important ameliorations in their organizational management through the implementation of improvement measures identified by this methodology.

The program has been developed based on a management model that recognizes and evaluates seven main areas:
• Leadership, planning and strategy
• Innovation and technology
• Focus on human talent
• Customer and market approach
• Processes
• Environment
• Social responsibility

CINDE participated in the process called "Route to Excellence" oriented to organizations with continuous improvement programs.
