Auxis to invest US$30 million and hire up to 700 more people in Costa Rica

San Jose, October 30, 2015. The services sector company Auxis, a consulting leader in management and outsourcing, the Ministry of Foreign Trade of Costa Rica and the Costa Rican Investment Promotion Agency (CINDE) announced today that the leading company will invest US$30 million in Costa Rica in the next five years, in addition to hiring up to 700 people more, to expand its service center in the country.

Costa Rica was selected by the company as the main focus of its nearshore services in Latin America. The expanded operation will allow its customers to support multinational and Fortune 500 companies in the United States and Latin America. Among its clients are Pepsi, Target, Shoes for Crews and Tiger Direct.

Auxis supports its customers in areas such as: IT services for implementation and cloud design, servers support, security, network operations centers solutions, software development, business analysis and consulting in IT transformation. The service includes back office finance and accounting, human resources, customer service and product support, electronic commerce and payment processing. Everything in multiple languages including English, Portuguese and French.

Currently the company is located in the American Free Zone in Heredia and this new space expanded significantly its ability to recruit personnel, leading from an operation with over 200 employees currently, to having a capacity of 900, which foresees new hires in the coming months for their operation, working in a 24/7 mode.

The President of the Republic, Luis Guillermo Solis, said "We welcome this decision by the company Auxis, to increase their investment and headcount in Costa Rica. This good news is a further confirmation that the country remains attractive for foreign investment and for trusting the Costa Rican labor."

The Minister of Foreign Trade, Alexander Mora, applauded the decision taken by the company, which he described as a clear sign of a very successful management so far and an even more promising future. "As part of the corporate services and IT sector, Auxis integrates the prestigious group of companies with a presence in our country, whose multinational operations make it possible for Costa Rica to figure among the countries participating in this important global value chain."
