VMware confirms expansion of their operation and payroll in Costa Rica
Firm announced its expansion and reinvestment plans in Costa Rica today, and will increase their payroll in over 60% by the end of 2015
California, June 9th, 2014. The official investment promotion trip to the United States to promote Costa Rica as a strategic hub for investment projects is starting to be very fruitful.
The technology company VMware confirmed the President, Luis Guillermo Solís, the it will expand its operations in the country, which will lead to increased staffing and a significant growth in just 2 years of operation in the country. VMware started operations in Costa Rica in 2012 with three people and expects to close 2014 with about 250 employees. It announced that by 2015 it has plans to continue growing and host over 400 Costa Ricans at its headquarters.
VMware is a worldwide leader in virtualization software. This company was founded in 1998 and is headquartered in Palo Alto California. The company has a Shared Services Centre in Costa Rica.
President Solis was pleased by the vote of confidence that VMware gave the country to make this announcement.
"I am pleased to share the news with the country that VMvare decided to expand its operations in Costa Rica. During the meeting with the senior management of the company, they expressed their satisfaction with the preparation of Costa Rican professionals and the conditions that the country generated for expansion" concluded Solis.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of CINDE Jose Rossi y Gabriela Llobet, who accompanied the Minister of Foreign Trade, Alexander Mora, assisting the President in the intense work tour.
