CINDE Job Fair opened online pre-registration for participants to the most important multilingual job fair in Costa Rica

49 companies will seek to fill 2,700 job openings. The fair will take place February 17 to 19, at la Antigua Aduana.

Employers look for candidates with and without experience to fill open positions

Pre-registration is an essential requirement to access the activity.


January 20, 2017. The Costa Rican Investment Promotion Agency (CINDE) opened the online pre-registration process for those interested in finding a job opportunity at the XIII edition of CINDE Job Fair. In this edition, 49 multinational companies from the services and life sciences sector will look for candidates to fill thousands of positions for all those who master a second language.

Sequeira, Managing Director of CINDE commented "CINDE Job Fair is the largest and most specialized multilingual fair in the country, in which we seek to create a bridge between companies and people looking for a quality and well paid job opportunity in one place. This year, more than 2,700 jobs will be offered in the services and life sciences sectors."

The fair will take place at La Antigua Aduana in San Jose on Friday, February 17 and Saturday, February 18 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, February 19, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Those who are speak English and Portuguese must complete the free BELT and PIP language tests at www.cindejobfair.com. This is possible thanks to an alliance with Idioma Internacional, specialists in teaching Business English. Those interested in applying to positions that require other languages must know that companies will interview the candidates during the fair at their stands.

The participating companies emphasized that they are looking for professionals and technicians with and without experience, as well as people who handle several languages, mainly English.

CJF 2016 Results

6,800 people attended

• Three months after the XII edition of CJF
§ 35% of respondents were contacted by a company 12 weeks after the fair.
§ Of the respondents who were contacted, 7 out of 10 began a recruitment process in that period.
§ 18% of the respondents received a formal job offer within the first three months.

• Language tests
§ The BELT test was completed by 7,698 people
§ 7 out of 10 have intermediate level (B1 and B2).
§ 18% are advanced level (C1-C2).
§ The PIP test (Portuguese) was completed by 691 people
§ 6 out of 10 have intermediate intermediate level (B1 and B2).
§ 3 out of 10 are advanced level (C1-C2).
